Strategic Planning Templates: A Common Language for Success

Posted on September 26th, 2011 by John Johnson

A template is a pattern or gauge used to plan or create something in a consistent manner. A template is also a visual medium that enables you to see how the assemblage of the parts leads to the creation of the whole. Templates are used everywhere. Architects use blueprints to visualize all kinds of projects and incorporate a great amount of detail to guide, direct and oversee the multitudinous tasks required to complete a structure. Templates are used for bus, train and plane scheduling and in medicine as diagnostic tools. It’s fair to say you cannot build a business without systems, and a strategic planning template is an essential part of that system.

Strategic planning templates gather scattered, sometimes confusing, sometimes contradictory data enabling you to reach directed and workable outcomes. When a planning template is incorporated as standard operating procedure, everyone in that organization now has a common language that is used to achieve great things.
